About

The primary reason for starting this site was for me to have a place to keep my notes (things that I may want to remember and maybe come back to) with me not having to look around for them. I haven't tried services like Notion, but I really didn't want to have to learn how to use another company's product only to eventually stop using it - that seems like a waste of time, so I created this site, where I can implement anything I want.

I also thought it would be a good place to host software and other projects, document some other things I may work on, and test software in a production environment.

I haven't decided yet whether or not I want to write a blog, but if I do, I'll preface whatever I say by adding a disclaimer that:

All I know is that I know nothing
Plato / Socrates

so that I don't have to give the disclaimer about everything I say. I'm at least a little skeptical of all my own opinions, but mentioning that I'm not sure about something every couple lines would make for a poor blog post. Based on the philosophy I've read, most of them don't think anything can be known anyway, so if you read my blog, just take everything you read with a grain of salt.

Right now, this site hosts my design system, an implementation of the google maps JavaScript API to be used with HTMX SPAs (Single Page Applications), and a utilities page where I plan to implement some things that I want to do often but don't want to rewrite the scripts for each time - this was the reason for the LaTeXLaTeX to HTML and code to HTML functionality implemented on this site.

The theme of the site should be fully customizable - try clicking the the settings icon in the top-right hand corner of the page.

I haven't gotten around to it yet, but if the site ever grows so large - as in having enough information - that it warrants search functionality and if I ever decide to allow comments on blog posts, then I will implement search for the site, create a rich text editor for comments for the site, implement login functionality, and set up a RSS feed. I am already working on a Lexical rich text editor for building very customizable articles, and I will add that to the site soon.

I'm not sure how often I will come back and update this page, so if you want to see the latest changes to the site, just look around.
