Frank's Goodreads
Goodreads is a website that helps people find and share books they love. It's a social cataloging site where users can:
- Track Reading: Record books they've read or want to read.
- Rate Books: Leave reviews and comments on books.
- Discover New Books: Search for books by title or author, or browse lists of new releases.
- Connect with Other Readers: Join book clubs, groups, or discussions.
- Create Lists: Organize books into lists by topic, genre, or other criteria.
- Follow Authors: Stay updated on author's work and revies.
Why Am I Creating This?
I am creating this page because I would prefer to keep my book reviews on this site rather than create a good reads account. I feel like it will force me to have more acccountability when trying to read more vs creating a goodreads account, for which I may forget the login information or just forget about the existance of the account altogether. Hopefully, by creating this page and the letterboxd page on this site, I will eventually read more than I watch.
About the Posts
I will probably mention what happens in the book or summarize the book in each of these posts - so if you don't want to know what happens, do not read them.. After summarizing the book, I will explain what I took from it, what I thought was interesting, and why I liked the book or didn't like it.
How does the Rating Work?
I think I am gping to rate based on a combinaton of how much I learned + how much I enjoyed reading it + some other factors. I will probably explain the rating in the post.
